Colorshift Cowl "Scrappy" Workshop

Colorshift is a hybrid cowl capelet with subtle shifts in color achieved by knitting with multiple strands held together as one. The shaping is created by gradually increasing needle size and adding additional strands of yarn. Colorshift can be worn as a cowl, pulled up over your hair as a wimple, or layered over a spring dress like a capelet making it an ideal accessory for transitional weather!

One size fits most. Measurements are taken post-blocking with the fabric laying flat and unstretched. The ribbed fabric is super stretchy! Neck Opening: 23” Hem Opening: about 42” Length: 18”

Skill Level: Beginner
Skill Details: Should have a basic understanding of how to cast on and knit.
Requirements: Pattern: Colorshift Cowl by Carina Spencer (may be purchased on Ravelry or at Magpie?s Cottage) Needles: US 6, 7, 8, 9, and 10 (24? circular) Yarns: Pattern uses fingering weight yarn. You choose how many colors ? this would be a great stash buster or use of mini skeins. Curio mini skeins would be great to use (available at the shop). Notions: 1 stitch marker, tapestry needle, scissors and some creativity! (If you would like to learn the tubular cast on, please bring a crochet hook and a long straight knitting needle ? the bigger, the better)
